Tardigrades in Space is a growing science fantasy universe created by artist, author and filmmaker Jonathan Anderson. Inspired by the true events of a 2019 failed lunar probe that was carrying live tardigrades from Earth, it all started with the question: "What if?" ...What if the tardigrade payload survived the crash, but years of cosmic radiation altered their DNA so that they returned to earth as macroscopic, sentient beings?

The “tardicraze” is certainly not new with MrAnderson.Rocks! Most school kids know the mighty exploits of the miniscule "water bear", and science teachers readily draw from a plethora of YouTube videos to supplement their lesson plans.

Tardigrades are literally everywhere...not just underfoot, but as pop-science darlings around the globe. There are even university degrees and tenured faculty devoted to "Tardigradology," thousands of published studies in countless medical journals, and government funded research for military-industrial development.

Everyday people are in love with the snouty "moss piglet" as well. No matter where he goes, people who see Mr. Anderson wearing one of his tardigrade T-shirts greet him like an old friend: “Dude, I love your shirt!” They go on to reveal that they’re even bigger tardinerds than he is! Mr. Anderson was even gifted a 3D articulated tardigrade by a teacher he hadn’t seen in over a year!

Mr. Anderson's own tardiquest began when he learned how to sculpt and cast polyurethane foam puppets and resin figurines. He gave the very first puppet to granddaughter Lydia, who asked for one with blue skin and purple feathers. Weeks later, Lydia shared that “Truman” had become quite the celebrity among her grade school friends, who all wanted their own! They even drafted a hand-written order form specifying custom color variations!

As a creative designer both on and off the clock, the Tardiverse has become Mr. Anderson's playground, and there are limitless categories of commercially viable merchandising categories to be explored...all of which will help fund the independent production of Tardigrades in Space: The Motion Picture.

MrAnderson.Rocks is a nonprofit organization with a two-part mission: [1] to produce standards-based STEM “edutainment” for public schools, online streaming and commercial syndication; and [2] to develop personal capacity in youth and disadvantaged adults through participation in the crafts and trades of multimedia production.

Merchandising sales and brand licensing will support nonprofit operations, while public and private grants and corporate sponsorships will fund the development of Puppet Love Ranch™ multimedia studios.

Jonathan Anderson has been a multimedia storyteller since childhood, through comics and puppets, sculpture and model building, acting and directing, and producing film and video since high school. 0f course, life took practical turns through marriage and family, supported by careers in marketing, pastoring, nonprofit management, and running a boutique creative agency since 2005. Then came teaching, which brought everything into focus: Equipping children for life and livelihood through the arts and crafts of storytelling; bringing meaning from chaos and beauty from ashes; imagining quests that satisfy a soul’s calling; and tilling life’s rocky soils with little to show, only to discover that the greatest joys sprout from putting one’s hand to the plow and never looking back.
